Whats up with Politics?
So what's up with politics these days, sure seems to me that all the politicians have lost sight of what they are running for. Do you notice that most of the ads we see are just ads that bash the opposite side?
What ever happened to talking about the issues instead of trying to win by digging up the most dirt on other candidates. Case in point to local democrats were so busybashing one another that the third one who you barely hear of won the election and in my opinion it was mostly because everyone was tired of hearing all the other negative bull. Do I think this person is the best for the job, no but i agree with the decision because it got really discusting to hear the negative banter between the other two candidates. Not come the actual election the other side will more than likely win because they are talking about the issues and why they should be elected not bashing the opposition. What a sad state of affaris when our elected officials can possibly get into office not because they represent our values or are concerned about the right issues but because we got tired of the negative banter of the rest of the gang. What ever happened to extolling the real virtues of those running for public office, the saying of one such man running now is that " he is doing it for his son t try and make our state a better place for him to live and grow up in" Now I don't know about you but I would mcuh rather elect a man with those values than one who can only put down and dig up dirt on everyone else. Let's not even talk about the presidential race, local politics is bad enough.
